K-3 Early Intervention Program

What is the K-3 Program?
The K-3 Early Intervention Program is a collaborative effort among the Department of Services for Children, Youth and their families (DSCYF), the Department of Education (DOE), and participating school districts.
Children in kindergarten through third grade, and their families, may participate in the program. The K-3 Early Intervention Program addresses issues within the home that affect performance in the classroom. The goal is to enable families to support the social and academic growth and the healthy development of children so they may attain positive outcomes in school.
Vision: It is our vision that every child in Delaware will have the opportunity to succeed social, emotionally, and academically.  This will be accomplished by empowering families and strengthening the ties between school, family, and commiunity through
the collaborative services established through the K-3 Early Intervention Services.

Partnership Goals:
  • To work with children in grades K-3 and their families to attain the most postitive outcomes.
  • To define and clarify the roles of participating staff from outside agencies.
  • To organize mechanisms for information sharing and problem resolution.
