Homeroom Parent & Volunteer Opportunities - Join Our Kuumba Village!

Dear Kuumba Families,

At Kuumba Academy, we believe that parents are the first and most important educators of their children. Together, we live out the Kuumba Core Values of Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility) and Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) by working as a community to nurture, educate, and uplift every child in our Village.

Whether you can help in the classroom, assist with special events, organize family projects, or serve as a Homeroom Parent, supporting communication between teachers and families, there’s a place for everyone in this initiative!

We’d love to hear from you!
Please take a few minutes to complete this short form to let us know how you’d like to get involved:

To ensure the safety of all students, all volunteers are required to have a Criminal Background Check (CBC) on file before participating in any school activities.

Please find additional details about the volunteer CBC process here:

By working together, we embody the values of Kuumba (Creativity) and Imani (Faith), believing in the power of our collective effort to build a joyful, safe, and thriving community for our children.

Thank you for being a vital part of our Kuumba Village. Your participation makes all the difference!
