Dear Kuumba Village Families,

At Kuumba Academy, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom! As part of our commitment to creativity, exploration, and arts-integrated learning, our scholars will have the exciting opportunity to visit the Delaware Art Museum this school year. This experience will allow our scholars to explore artwork, discover new perspectives, spark their imaginations, and make meaningful connections between what they learn in school and the world around them.

We warmly encourage our families to join their scholars at the museum! Your presence is a wonderful way to celebrate their learning, encourage their creativity, and create lasting memories together. We know that when families and schools work together, our scholars benefit from a stronger village of support.

Please note that parents and guardians who wish to attend must arrange their own transportation to the museum, as family members are unable to travel on the school bus with scholars. Please refer to the Delaware Art Museum visit schedule for your scholar’s grade-level cohort and scheduled Thursday visit.

Thank you for partnering with us to nurture the creativity, curiosity, and confidence of our scholars. Together, we are helping our young artists see the world in new ways and discover the greatness within themselves!
